Solved-HP Pavilion G6 black screen

This might help someone else. I bought a "pulled apart" HP G6 that would not display - just a black screen. Power lights come on and the cap light blinks 3 times (indicating ram, I think). However ram is ok. During my tests I checked to see if the cable in the screen was seated correctly and my fingers got hot when I touched the webcam connection to its PCB. I disconnected the webcam and now the laptop boots fine with full display.
