    HP nx7000 start and freeze

Hi. This laptop has a few issues.

    1. not start form AC power adapter if take out battery, if batt. present then start, but forewer show win xp progres line animation

    2. if try start without battery nothing happen is like dead. I check AC power plug and is OK, and I try with original 100% working new AC charger

    3. When use Hiren's boot CD and tested with stress test, CPU pass OK, GPU pass OK, on RAM (memory) test is stuck immediately, but I change memory with 100% OK and again stuck immediately.

I think is some problem with power Supply part on motherboard, when not start puged on AC adapter, and maybe this cause memory fail too ?

Is any idea what can I do on this problem ?

Re: HP nx7000 start and freeze

      Thankyou.

I found problem with power, bad AC jack on motherboard and replaced.

But now I got two major problems.

      1. if I start ram-memory test it stuck immediately (see on first picture) and sometime show distorted text on bottom (pic 2)
But if I use Memetest or other program it show no problems with Memory (pic 3) I must find some bootable software for VRAM test, maybe is fail there, because this model has a big problem with Graphic card.

it take a year to get in windows (xp) and then for anything take another year, I susspect some malware-virus etc. or bad Hard Disc, I will try to go back for month and will se what will happend, if is malware maybe it help.

Start with the simple stuff, like reinstalling Windows. See what that does... if you have access to more RAM (that will work with this computer) try replacing it or if you have more than on RAM card in there pull one out and test it on it's own and then do the other one by itself. If there is an issue with the RAM it's very unlikely that more than one stick has gone bad. This is just where I would start, good luck!

Update. O god Im freak out with this laptop, after install fresh copy win xp, it work just fine, after I install kingsoft free antivirus and wifi card driver, first stuck and after restart allmost got in windows and got BSOD and restart, and this work in loop-cycle. I dont know, I test disc and is healthy 100%, ram is changed for 100% working, I change processor too.

Must be something on Graphic card or Motherboard, because it will not start allways, sometime must push power button 10 times, sometime hold down and wait few seconds etc. So must be some fail to board or video card.

video how work after install fresh cop win xp http://tinypic.com/r/znk9wm/6

Pull out the battery and unplug the laptop. Once all power is removed hold the power button down for 30 - 60 seconds. Then, just plug in the computer (DO NOT put the battery back in) and start it up. Next, if this does not solve any of your problems go back and reinstall windows. Why are you putting kingsoft on it? Put AVG 2013 Free edition on, much better than Kingsoft!!! Hope it works out for you!

Also, the power thing I wanted you to do is to drain all the power from the computer (all the caps). It's a good way to reset everything. You would be shocked how many things this has got me out of! It's never cured a BSOD for me but hey, why not give it a shot!

Hi. I reball all 4 VRAM chip's on video card and for now work, but still has some failure with starting, maybe is power button, it start sometime on first push, sometime must hold button down for 5-10 seconds, sometime start when release button after 5 seconds. I dont know maybe is someone else, but for ow it work. I will return this laptop with free of charge, or maybe I buy crap and use LCD panel for another laptop

                        Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

                        by YellowJacket
                        Hi friends,

TV has stuck at - as I googled the term - color test mode. Slowly flashing colors white, red, green, blue, black, over and over again. I tried some hints from internet, like pressing some remote buttons, but nothing worked. I also tried factory reset for Sharp TVs => "while holding vol– & input buttons on tv plug in set when “k” appears push vol– & chan- " , but TV doesn't even start during buttons pressed.
So I decided to flash new firmware to SPI ROM. What do you say, would it help? If so, where can I find some dump? I was unable to find...

How Can I test PWM DM0365R?

                        Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....

Panasonic tx-55cx802b stuck on panel test mode.
It was working normally but few days ago some of the LED reflectors fall off.
I've opened it up carefully, re-glued, while it was open switched it on to test LEDs.
                        Then carefully assembled back.
After plugging in to power remote does not work.
Using power button on the TV it turns on but gets itself into a panel testing mode: white, gradient, red, gradient, blue, gradient, green and so on switching between colours.

Anyone knows how to get out of this panel testing mode?

                        I've tried so...
