Acer 5741G starts but AC, Power and Bat lights blink

I have a client's ACER 5741G here for repair which had been dropped. I fixed the superficial damage to the chassis with superglue / bicarb but the system itself is misbehaving in an odd way.

It won't start from battery alone. If you plug in the AC, you can fire it up and then remove the power lead and it keeps going on battery.

While plugged in to AC the main power button light, AC light and battery light all blink at about a 2Hz rate in sync, but the system _seems_ okay.

    Any ideas?

Try to look for broken leads.

Thanks, I think the PSU brick might be shot. One of the few types I don't have a spare handy for right now. Have one on order, let's hope that makes the problem go away
