MacBook Pro 13" 2010 no power!

Looking for help with a macbook pro that has no power. Changed out the dc jack with known good one and still nothing. No green or orange light on mag safe charger. Won't power with known good battery.
    Any thoughts?

Stupid question, but did you check the power supply with a multimeter and make sure you were getting the proper voltage and amps?

Not stupid, but yes it is good

Okay! Just checking! Did you check the fuse near the DC input?

          Hello,

If you open the bottom cover, you will see a small surface mounted tiny fuse. check this fuse. I have seen this fuse go bad. BUT, if it is bad do NOT simply jump the fuse because, if there is some other problem then you will fry the logic board. If you decide to jump the fuse then use a 10ohm or 1 ohm resistor which will act as a fuse

Also, check where the connector connects to the logic board and verify if there is voltage there because

          Let me know what happens

Jon, I am new to this and there are lots of fuses. Do you have a photo or a more specific location. Also, on the dc jack there are 4 pins, which do I probe to test power?

Can you please post a picture of the motherboard. It will be much easier to help you.

There are only 2 fuses on that board. the components you are referring to may be resistors or capacitors

I have attached a picture with the fuse circled. There is a fuse on the Logic(main board) and, 1 on the DC Connector. They will be labelled F1xx beginning with the letter F or PF. check across this fuse with an ohmmeter (available at Radio shack, Ebay or many places) to make sure there is continuinity (Connection) the meter should go to 0 if it is good or nothing if it is open. If it is open then unsolder it and replace it. IF you are unable to unsolder it, then you can always piggyback it (Meaning you can solder it on top of the other fuse. The only reasonI know about these is due to the fact that I just repaired mine with the same problem

And a picture of the DC power jack connector

I am attaching a photo of the fuse on the board. I checked continuity on it and it works. As far as an Ohm reading it reads.5. So I am guessing the fuse is ok?
I know the mag safe board is working.

Is the fuse the white box on the left?

I'm troubleshooting a MBP 15 with no magsafe lights,
orange or green. The logic brd, magsafe board is checked OK,
the charger is checked OK. And I've checked the continuity of
a similar little white box on my logic board and it checks
                    continuity OK.

I can post a picture for reference.

                    It's a water damaged MBP 15 2009

first post trying to get posting priveleges.

                    Thanks

                      I have (maybe had) the same issue - mid'10 MBP15"A1286 A7 820-2915-B
minor spill, thoroughly cleaned & dried, laptop works fine, magsafe batt ok, repl dc-in board - no joy. left charging overnite 2 or 3 times no joy. Maybe a month later, picked it up again, tried charging, for the first time the green light was on for half second then out, left it for ~10-15 min no joy; unplugged charger figured capacitive charging maybe gave false green indication. Hour or 2 later attached charger again no lights but left it attached, got busy researching and looking for logic board fuse ~30-40 min later noticed amber light!! It started working. There are resettable SMT fuses but I don't see one on this board? No explanation for the delay, but its a gift horse - mouth thing!

Moral of this story, if its otherwise working normally, let it sit for a month (mine was sitting with back removed during that time) then let it charge for an hour or longer. Good luck!
