definition of abbreviation for mother board components

do you have a list of definition for mother board components.
example:
L2
PQ
C300
these are abbreviations commonly seen in laptop motherboards.
can somebody has a list to identify capacitors,inductors,transistors etc.

Surface mounted components will need to be cross referenced from a schematic to determine their original operating values.

C300 - 'C' indicates capacitor; 300 is the enumerated index to this capacitor on the schematic.
