    moisture in vga chips

can anyone recommend a method to get rid of moisture in new vga chips.i replaced a chip on a dell xps today and it popcorned when the temp got up to solder melt point.

i am aware that baking in a oven will do the job but i dont know how long or at what temp.also is there a oven i could purchase that is made specifically for this job or is it just a case of using the preheat on a reflow machine

    thanks.

Page 4 gives some good recommendations.

The general idea is to get the moisture out slowly.

Most reliable way to be sure is keep them in dehumidifier cabinet for a week or two,
      this will do the trick.

Best place to source RAM chips? 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB
        by ugamazing
I'm looking to upgrade several 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB for personal use. I am curious what the best practice and process is for sourcing new replacement chips, and what vendor(s) you guys prefer? Another question is, how do I find compatible chips and their corresponding part/model numbers? For example, in the 820-00850 schematic, the DDR chip U2600 model listed (EDFB232A1MA) corresponds to 1x32GB chip. Of course, I would need 4x8GB chips to replace the 4x2GB chips currently on the board. How do I find compatible 8GB chips? Is it as simple as searching "BGA178 8GB 2133"...

WSON8 NEW Bios Chips READ, ERROR, ETC.
        by feherhollo
        Hi,
I asking for help on some new WSON8 256MB chips. Please share your experience. I faced error on some new chips on read, erase, write with different programmers. These new chips are not exist in any programmers database. (GD25B256D, XM25RH256, W25Q256JV so on.)
        I'm using RT809F V.5.0, EZP2023 Pro, CH341A Green

For the exact experience with GD25B256DYIG is RT809F erase the chip under 33sec. This kind of 256MB chip normal erase time is 70-120sec so I think not all the partitions are erased. If I do blank check or reread the buffer says FFFFFF but when I write the correct...

        LG Oven model LREL6325F
        by Fsufan1391
Hello everyone my oven is less than 2 years old and all of a sudden recently when i run the oven for 15 minutes or so and i am done with it and shut it off. after about 10 minutes it starts chiming and randomly putting it in different modes like the touch screen is being touched but no one is around it. I have tried to reset it by unplugging it multiple times and no luck. I took it apart to see the main board and everything looks fine. I am wondering if i should replace the main board or if its in the control panel. the touch screen is very responsive and works like it should. its only acting...

Chasis bond to neutral to overcome oven tripping problem
        by schnauzer2021
        Hi,

I have a 6 years old Rowenta table top oven. The oven have both convection and grill function.
Last Christmas I used it to roast a turkey with the convection mode for about 4 hours without any problem. When I switched to grill mode to deep browning the turkey for the final half hour, the power trips after a while.

I have not been using the oven since then. Last week, when I try to use the oven again, both convection and grill mode trip the power supply a few minutes after turning it on.

As I was too busy with my work, I leave it to the repairman...

SEF 551.10 - Error starting the reflow oven.
        by bpjl
        Hello,

When starting the SEF 551.10 reflow oven, the following problem occurs:

It seems to me that this is related to corrupted software. Does anyone have files that can fix this device? Or maybe someone uses such an oven and is able to make a sector copy of the memory card located in the computer controlling this oven?

PS.: Of course, appropriate emails for help have been sent to the manufacturer and distributor in my country. No response yet, but I don't expect much. It's a fairly old device and from what I know, it's no longer...
