    Hp G61 shuts down abruptly after 3-5 minutes of usage

    I have a HP G61 laptop. It uses the AMD sempron processor. The laptop is about 2 years old and therefore out of warranty(It came with 1 year warranty). Once I switch on the laptop it works for about 3-5 minutes, then shuts off abruptly without any warning. I've tried swapping R.A.M, HDD, and removing wireless card, but the problem still persists.
    What could be the problem, what components do I check? Thanks

      check for overheating. The heatsink could need to be cleaned.

          I have already cleaned the heatsink and applied new Thermal interface material, but the problem persists.

              The fan is spinning?
              Try it with all components and battery removed.
              Also check for dc-jack problems.

              If overheating can definitely be excluded and nothing from above helps, then there are no more options than professional diagnosis and repair (service or by yourself). Could be the thermal sensor on the motherboard or something.

                  Try taking the battery out?

                      Hello everybody!

                      Have in work A1706 820-00239 model. Originally no power, shorted PPBUS_G3H because of corroded C6403, C6404. Some water damage around this components, but nothing major.

                      After replacing this capacitors the laptop came back to work, I reinstalled MacOS and had no issues until I started to test Type-C ports. Sometimes the laptop shuts off immediately when some action with Type-C ports performed (charger disconnected or USB device inserted/disconnected). I checked Type-C port flexes, they are okay, but I cleaned them anyway. I can't see any signs of liquid...

                      I am hoping somebody can help me out with an issue with my Sharp LC-46D85UN LCD TV which is nearly 10 years old.

                      Here are the symptoms:

                      --Turns on normally, stays on for around 2-5 minutes, picture disappears with a pop from the right speaker.
                      --Backlight stays on, power LEDs both stay on, no blinking. Remote is not responsive when it is in this state.
                      --Power button on TV is not responsive for single press. If I hold it long enough, the TV will shutdown.

                      Hi. I have a pre-owned Dell Inspiron 15 7567. It worked fine
                      During the first 3 days of owning it until Dell Update software popped a notification about a latest Bios version 1.15.0 and latest Intel ME Software update of which I updated. It rebooted and firstly, Upgraded Bios from version 1.8.1 to 1.15.0 then it started upgrading Intel ME firmware. After that update, my laptop shuts down without notice (Like thermal shutdown)

                      I have a Hisense 55H6570F that gets the the boot loading screen for android and then shuts down. Oddly I hear a crackle on the mainboard as shown in the picture - nothing looks blown. The tv will boot every time, but when it reaches the loading statge of the anroid logo you can hear crackling on the board and it shuts down. What am I looking for (other than buying a new set) ?
