Hi everyone this is my first post but i gathered a lot of information in time from this amazing forum.
I'm trying to fix a faulty mainboard of an IdeaPad G560. It was coffee-damaged and the keyboard didn't functioning good. After replacing it I noticed that the G560 works only on battery.
What should I check for? where do I start?
The battrey is not charging nor DC connected without battery doesn't power computer.
I cleaned all the corrosion ofcourse.
Laptop gets DC voltage correct until the motherboard so it's not the DC jack cable.
Battery pins get's very low voltage (about 0.4).
I don't know where to continue, it seems like the G560 doesn't recognize that it is connected to DC.
When the DC is connected and the battery doesn't there is a low volume noise when that I hear coming from the motherboard while it's off ofcourse and HD disconnected. Also there is a low volume noise from the Ac/DC adapter. When I connect the battery and the DC is in there isn't any noise like this.
Would like some help.
I own a soldering station for SMD and also a rework station.
