macbook pro 820-3462 charges very slowly

Received a macbook pro which in notification shows 7 or 10 hours until full during charging.

have replaced ISL6259 and Q7055 and still getting same results. current sensing resistors measured fine @ 0 and 2ohms. what else could be the issue?
without battery i get 12.58V. i have physically shorted Q7055 drain to source to rule out issue with the mosfet and can confirm its still the same. any suggestions?

when i shutdown it charges at only 16.5v 0.5A. during boot PSU draws 2.5-3A suggesting it momentarily charges but drops to 1.5A power draw after boot.

Confirm the voltage to ground of:

    SMBUS_BATT_SCL
    SMBUS_BATT_SDA

both Diode reading are 0.4 red on ground

Ok. Post the DC voltage to ground of the same. Meter in DC volts mode (10v or higher is ok). Wanting to confirm the SMBUS lines for this segment are ok.

Also, remove all power and meter in resistance mode.

Measure directly at U7000 pins for the resistance between CSOP and CSON. Had this exact case last year and it took ~3 weeks to resolve. The fault was that the current sense loop was broken. The fault was only caught after a direct probe at the U7000 IC pins.

It is important to check that this current sense loop is ~2 ohms (pin 17 & 18 of U7000).

          SMBUS lines are 3.34v

CSON to CSOP resistance is 3ohms.

MacBook Pro Charges When Off, But Not When On (MBP 2014 15 Inch) 820-3662-A
              by itsmeapple
              Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with my MacBook Pro.

When it's switched off, it charges while the battery is connected. However, when it's powered on, the charging stops after a few seconds.

Another strange thing is that when I disconnect the battery and plug in the charger, the MacBook Pro turns on and runs without any issues.

I've already tried using a different OEM charger, but no luck. I even swapped the charging port DC-IN, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

              Thank you!...

MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock

              Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

General question about MacBook power rails for repair.
              by SarcasticOP
I am looking at an A2337 and found this for the order of power rails and what they do. Can this be confirmed before I dive into hunting down power rails that do not exist or are not neccisary?
              • PPBUS_G3H (12.6V-12.8V)
                • This is the main power rail that supplies power to the entire system. Check this rail first, as it must be present for other power rails to work.
              • PP3V42_G3H (3.42V)
                • This power rail is derived from PPBUS_G3H and is used to power the SMC (System Management Controller) and other essential circuits. It should be present if PPBUS_G3H is working correctly.
              • PPVRTC_G3H (3.3V)

macbook retina A1398 820-00138 works slowly
              by sdogs
              Hi, ;-)
i am trying to understand what is happening to this macbook retina 15 A1398 from 2015 year with logic 820-00138.
The macbook had a swollen battery, it seemed to explode, removed the battery the macbook has power, starts without errors but is very slow, very slow. From resource monitoring all cpu cores work very high even without applications started.
I tried another trackpad flat, I disconnected the webcam, I disconnected the wifi card, I tried another IO board, I tried with more SSD hard drives.
I did apple hardware test, no errors, checked all sensors and...
