    820-00923 stuck at 5V

So far I have checked voltage output and LDO's at all four CD3215C00 and I get stable 5V output and 3,3V at LDO's.
At F7000 I get 0V and over 10K resistance to ground.
Q7030 takes the 5V but gives 0 so I'm guessing some issue with U7000.
Am I at the correct direction or there is something I'm missing?

    Re: 820-00923 stuck at 5V

The ace controllers (cd3215) have other LDO rails as well. Each LDO power rail on each cd3215 needs to be measured for their voltage to ground values.

Each ACE controller must be operational for the logic board to kick into 20 volts.

I agree with what you say but as I can tell when I had only 5V issue before because of a faulty CD3215 I think I got the 5V also at F7000 but I'm not sure.
Can you confirm that or it is wrong?

Measure the voltage to ground on each pin of D6902.

        Also the reading of PP3V3_G3H.

        Post each measurement.

ok, there is a short at pin3 of D6902 so let me figure out where is the issue
PP3V3_G3H is 0V of course but with no short

              Hey....

Board as written in description was stuck at VGA LED. common Problem wit these type of bords.... tried all the "standard stuff" like resettin... reseatin.... found out the LED Controller MCU1 = IT8295FN-56A geting burning hot under the last PCI Slot.. now i desoldered it cause there were only 18 ohms at the caps arround.... another aorus x470 in working condition with similar part and nearly same layout had arround 280 ohms...

my question is: why doesnt the board start know without this chip.... worked myself through the boardview but i can´t understand...

A1989 Logic Board Repair Issue. One CD3215 chip is the culprit
              by Stephen
As the title states, got one CD3215 chip being a complete butthole to me. All readings on the other 3 chips read as follows
              5.16V .47amp
              5.16V .47amp
              5.16V .47amp
5.16V .04amp (this guy is the issue) (U3200)

So I went ahead and replaced the chip, (actually 3 times with 3 new CD3215 chips) all same issue, at first it wasn't reading at all then it finally started reading. I can rest assured is it not the CD3215 chip now but something else is causing this port to not fully read (god I wish the board would just turn on so we can just recover the data)

              Hello everyone,

I'm currently diagnosing a MacBook Pro A1707 motherboard that does not power on. I've gathered some data but am stuck and need expert advice.
Note that i'm a beginner in electronics and i'm trying to learn while trying to repair this macbook that my work gave me. I'm really curious and love understanding how thing works and i already learned so much.

Only one usb c port is taking 20v and have 12.5v on PPBUS_G3H. when trying other ports, 2 are not going to 20v and one is going to 20v but the CD3215 is getting really hot.

              Observations...

              by ekozeko333
              Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers
🧠 What I’ve Done So Far
              Flashed...
