DELL 5537 LA-9982P - not work after lightning strike

    Hello.
Have this DELL 5537 LA-9982P that not work after lightning strike to house.

i replaced PQ701 but now have only 5.5V after it. ACDRV have voltage only for a moment when attach charger. BQ24717 have ACDET 2.58V, VIN 19V. Dont have this charger ic , can be replaced by other like 737?

How to check if PSID is ok?

MOD Edit: Schematic & boardview moved to new thread - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=122414

Remove the 4k resistor on ACDRV pin. Check again to see if the proper ACDRV voltage to ground of ~25v is present at the charger IC.

Confirm voltage on REGN pin # 16 of the charger IC.

Next, remove all power, meter in resistance mode.

Measure the resistance to ground of the ACDRV pin on the charger IC.

Was PQ701 new?? I still think PQ701 is faulty. Measure resistance on PQ701 pins between
          01. D1-D2
          02. D1-G
          03. G-S

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Pro 13 Plus PB13250 Bios Unlock
            by Akhlz001
            Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

HP EliteBook 840 G6 – no power after lightning strike
            by Bardou Kari
            Hi,
I’m trying to fix an HP EliteBook 840 G6 that stopped working after a lightning storm.

            – Charger is OK and 19V is present at the motherboard.
            – No charging LED, no fan, no reaction.
            – I don’t see any 3.3V or 5V near the coils.
            – Battery is unplugged.
            – I’m new to board repair but can use a multimeter.

I added a clear photo of the board.
Any idea where to start or what to check next?
Thanks a lot for your help!...

Dell Inspiron 5590 Board 18778-1 no charging, charging not possible
            by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...

Panasonic TH-50PX80 killed by lightning strike, help me save her!
            by SluggerB
Yes it's a 17 year old Panasonic plasma!

I was watching TV when there was a huge lighting strike nearby my house that shook the house. When that happened, the picture on the TV froze and the TV wouldn't turn off except by pulling the power cable. Now if you plug in the TV, it seems to turn on (it makes the turn on "clikcs" it always does, the red power light comes on but there is no picture, although I can see the back light around the edges. And the TV doesn't respond to the power button on the remote to turn off, and doesn't respond to the manual power button on the front...
