Yaesu FT-726R

Hello, I acquired a Yaesu FT-726R recently, and it has been having some interesting problems. When In CW, LSB, or USB mode, the busy light lights up, and I can receive. However, When I switch to the FM Mode, the busy light goes dark. and nothing comes out of the speaker. I Tuned the frequency to a local repeater and one of the meters shows that there is a signal coming into the radio. But even when that meter is showing that the radio is receiving a signal. I still can't hear anything, and the green busy light is still dark. I've followed the instruction manual, and nothing that I have tried as worked. I appreciate any help!

Maybe it’s a switching problem and the FM RX 8V isn’t getting there to the appropriate IC’s involved. Everything you select with a button on the panel needs to be switched in an out somehow. So download the Service Manual and study the block diagram.
