    Fujililm FINEPIX S100FS

    Hi,
friend gave me this camera to repair,he have problem with SD/XD card slot,it cannot hold the card, card is pushed back everytime.Problem was in locking mechanism for this card, was damaged,i want to replace it.But,here is the problem,i cannot find the right type, this is SD/XD card combo,i found nothing about this type of connector. Friend use only SD cards so will be not a problem to use only SD card connector but also this version with 12 pins from back side i cannot find. Know someone this connector? Or saw this type someone somewhere? I dont want throw it to the trash beacause of card slot

i have seen those, look on ali-express or inside old laptops
or remove it and see if you can repair the "push-push" latch.

i tried everything what you wrote :-) nothing found on ali and ebay and also repair is not possible,i combined 2 slots-one original and one from old laptop,in original one was one rod missing, shorted the rod from laptop to right lenght but it is not working, imho is missing something more or the the plastic parts are so worn..without this push-push mechanism is this slot usable but is hard to pull the card out.

Those card readers are difficult to refurb, even if you have exactly the same type of parts to rebuild it with.

If it was mine, I would remove the latch mechanism, semi-permanently fix a large capacity memory card inside (tape or a dab of hot glue), and use the USB port to transfer photos as required.

that may not work, the finepix xp100 i had would not allow you to acess the card in the camera.
you had to remove the battery to charge it too - i hate these company's!!

Should be possible according to the manual, either with FinePixViewer, or directly in Windows as it is PTP and MTP compatible.

I found this Stanton C.500, a double cd-player. It has two Sony mechanisms, but are these some version of the KSS-series? There's a sticker WSL-2130/V on both. I can't test them as the control unit is missing....

                      by kevinallein
I have two Samsung KS series TVs (UE55KS7000 and UE49KS7090). Both have some panel issues. I would like to diagnose those for panel repair.
Those main boards have the TCON integrated.
In many Internet posts and Youtube videos those people show, that they separate the left or right cable from the TCON / main board to the Panel to diagnose, whether the problem is on the right or left side of the panel.
However on that KS series, as soon as I disconnect one side or even just disconnect one of the driver boards of the panel itself (left and right side have two driver boards each),...

What exactly is the circuit failure mechanism?
                      by mholin
Hello All, first post here. Maybe it's because I never did much consumer electronics design, always commercial so if I needed a big power supply cap it would usually be tantalum or the larger value ceramics because they had superior filtering performance. And assuming these big electrolytics that fail are power supply filter caps, but from what I have read, the failed caps capacitance usually goes down while the ESR goes up. Now if it's a power supply, those caps are in parallel at the power supply output to reduce ripple voltage and supply local circulating currents to the load circuitry. So...

This sums up discussion related to Lenovo P14s Gen5 in this thread. Credits go to Sbaro and especially Maxpower3. The locked dump is attached.

The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make...
