Hello everybody,
First post here. I have been reading posts here for some time now, but today I made my first account and post.
The same question is also posted on another site, here it is:
Just found an old Panasonic National NV-M3 VHS Camera without the original charger but with a special bag with a led, switch and fuse that is designed for a lead-acid 12v 6Ah battery. It has two cables coming off the bag that leads to the camera terminals (Only + and - ). Pretty sturdy design I think.
I tried connecting it to a Computer PSU (12.7v) but I get battery error and keeps turning off after some seconds. Sometimes the tape mechanism opens, but a tape is currently stuck there. I tried using a 13.5v power supply. Now, there is no battery error, but I get a lense error "WHITE, LIGHT" and turns off after some seconds. Is there a protection mechanism for the tape? I want to try every possible solution before I try replacing the caps. Also, I dont think it is a capacitor problem because it drops an error. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
