Re: PS3 Fat RLOD reflow and now overheating message

    Hello!

Just opened back the PS3 and looked for the "badcaps" NecTokin

Found 8 of them (!) , 4 on each side of the board.

    Some pics are following.

    Should I change'm all?
    If I must do so , I need 32 (!) 330 uF 2.5V ??

Or should I start by the 4 that feed the GPU and test?

Thanks for any inputs to know the best approach to this issue!

    Hello!

Gonna check that when I'm at the office.

Could those capacitors be the responsible for the overheating message?

    Thanks in advance!

PS3 Fat RLOD reflow and now overheating message

    Hello!

    Got a PS3 with RLOD.
Reflowed the gpu on my hot air station, and when I tested it it turned on.
Conected it to my LCD and left it here for maybe ten minutes.
As I dont have the controller, it sat there on the start screen.
I noticed that the fan started jumping from different stages to full load, and then I got a overheating message and asking to turn off the PS.

Whats the right approach here? Reballing the GPU?
Or buying a new BGA ?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

T490 error message 2203 Skip acknowledgement of an error message
    by rumpumpel1
I have a T490 that displays the error message “2203: System configuration is invalid” immediately after the Lenovo logo every time it boots up.
This message must be acknowledged with 'Esc'. On the one hand, I cannot eliminate the problem, on the other hand, I have not observed any other restrictions.
Is it possible to change the BIOS so that this message no longer has to be acknowledged?

    Acer nitro 5 an517-52 reflow/rebal CPU
    by Olvin1
    Hello everyone,

I’m kindly asking for help and advice regarding a reflow procedure for my laptop — Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52, which is equipped with an Intel Core i7-10750H processor.

I own an ACHI IR 6500 infrared rework station and would greatly appreciate:

    • A detailed temperature profile for reflowing this specific CPU
    • Step-by-step guidance for a safe and effective reflow process
    • Tips on what to watch out for during the procedure

If the reflow doesn’t resolve the issue, I’m also considering BGA reballing of...

    Reflow equipment

    Hello all,

I am experimenting a bit with reflowing larger components - ideally I'd like to reflow a PS4 APU or a GPU for example.

I know it's impossible to reflow such large components with just hot air so I bought a pre-heating plate, T-8280 classic Chinese machine, which seems to be working fine besides it's a little slow, which shouldn't be a big deal.

Now, my hot air station is a Aoyue 852A++ and I feel it's a bit weak when used with larger nozzle. I tried reflowing a laptop chipset using one of those large, rectangular, nozzles and I failed miserably,...

Dell Latitude 3510 Overheating & Fan Control Issue – Need Help

Dell Latitude 3510 (Intel Core i7-10510U) CPU Overheating

    Issue Description:
    1. CPU Overheating to 100°C
      • When I start the laptop from a cold state, it takes about a minute to reach temps around 80-90-100°C, and CPU thermal throttling triggers.
      • When the CPU fan is running at full speed (by disconnecting PWM and TACH cables), CPU temperature stays around 50-60°C.
      • However, when the fan is connected normally to the motherboard, it does not kick in at high temperatures.
      • I also noticed a few times that the fan kicked in for a very short time, but it does not stay on consistently.

Concerns before attempting a Reflow of Laptop's GPU
    by Mr_Nada
I saw some posts at one point talking about doing a reflow but I couldn't find them again so I thought that I would post this here.

I plan on reflowing the GPU of this old HP DV2500 laptop but I want to go over what I have and the steps I have to take to guarantee it will come out fine.

I have a Yihua 8786D 2in1 Rework station, flux (just some paste that I got from an old Radioshack kit), a couple rolls of Kapton tape and a $15 Thermometer +probe (a TM902C from EMR shielding Solutions if its important).
    • The paper that came with the thermometer states that the probe
