i think i accidently ordered non-polarized 10uf caps for my original xbox. will this cause a problem?

i ordered a lot of caps from digikey to repair my xboxs. one thing i ordered was 50NXA10MEFC5X11-ND caps and i think they are not polarized. will this cause any kind of a problem? i really don't want to order new caps just because of this.

Digikey USA does not have these in stock so you should be able to change that order. Not sure in what circuitry you are going to use the non polarized caps in, but in general you can use non polarized caps in polarized circuits.

i already have the caps. i didn't realized they were non-polarized until i went to looking for the" -" stripe on the side of them and realized they did not have one. it costs $7 for shipping just to order some more caps so i really don't want to if these would work just fine. shipping would cost more than the new caps would.

they are SMDs around the av jack. i don't want to screw with SMDs so i bought regular caps to solder on and just bend over. won't look very nice but it will work.

do u notice any difference with using all solid state caps like that? and will my none polarized caps work? because i already have them.

no difference - it works fine.
i dont see a problem with bipolar caps other than they are usually bigger

the caps wont dry out or leak with age, thats the advantage.
they wont improve anything
