    Junsi iCharger 458Duo repair

    Hello everyone,

the IC labeled “D4W28” gets hot after a few seconds and the iCharger stays off. I have measured the components around the ICs “AL114” and “D4W28” and they are all OK.
However, I have the problem that I can't find the ICs and therefore have no datasheet. Do any of you have the datasheet to hand? Also, do you know where I can buy these ICs?

    Thank you in advance,

    Phil

Hi, i only found info on the AL*** IC, it's either FP6291 or SD6271, likely clones of each other, its a step-up DC-DC boost converter in SOT23-6 package
As for the D4W28, couldn't find anything that looks like it by searching for D4 or D4W

ThinkPad T470p – CMOS Checksum Error Persists After Main Battery Removal (even with new CMOS)
      by Genghis_Khan
      Hello everyone,

I’m currently troubleshooting an issue on my Lenovo ThinkPad T470p (Type 20J6) and would really appreciate any insights or solutions.

      Issue summary:

Whenever I remove the main laptop battery and AC adaptor, then place them back, the system gives a “CMOS checksum error” at next boot, and the BIOS clock resets to its default time/date.

However, the RTC works fine as long as the main battery remains attached — even if the laptop is unplugged for hours. Same as I remove the battery while the AC is attached, RTC remains. Obviously,...

lenovo legion legion 5 15ach6 no video output but completes post sequence
      by ferah831208
Hello there, i'm stucked with a lenovo legion legion 5 15ach6, mb code NM-D562, after power button all voltages are correct, different power stages of cpu transitions are present, when pressing power button laptop turns off like everything is working OK. The owner referred laptop was working perfectly, turned it off one night and next morning had black screen but he noticed system sounds. He managed to open windows voice narrator and accessed control Panel and there is no display adapters or unknown devices of any type (not the NVIDIA or AMD igpu present). I measured all discrete Nvidia card voltages,...

Lenovo Thinkpad P72 EP720 NM-B723 MB - Power disabled within 2 seconds after plugging the charger
      by Mita99
      Hi,

Try to repair a Thinkpad P72 EP720 NM-B723 MB with I7-8850H processor and N18E-Q1-KB-A1 (P3200) GPU with 6GB memory. Unfortunately there is noinfo what happened to the laptop. I got it disassembled with parts missing, like keyboard, battery.

Unfortunately I have no schematic available for me (requested in the sub porum) but got the boardview file.

Symptom: after connecting to the charger the power led light up for one-two second and switch off. After a couple secons the power led light up for half a second and switch off. No battery, no IO board, no...

SMEG induction cooker error EA on both left hand side cooktops
      by Gjackson
      Hi all,

I have a SMEG cooktop with a EGO 72.08041.002 power board. The two left hand side cooktops started to slowly fail, sometimes stopping with an EA error (Power board failure according to the manual) after a couple minutes boiling some water and eventually they completely failed and now get an EA error on both of them at all times. Visual inspection of the board went over ok, I checked the IGBT's and rectifiers and they seem fine, what should I look at next as this is the first time I'm fixing an induction cooker, I'm suspecting capacitors in this case, Which ones should I look...

Vaillant 242 Gas Water heater. Shortcut in board anc compatibility with model 282
      by edugimeno
      Hi!!
Yesterday I was installing a new Wifi thermostat for my domestic gas water heater model Vaillant 242/2-3, and accidentlly one wire from mains touched one wire from the thermostat output contacts. This shut off the heater so I finished installing the thermostat and then went out to check the heater

I found one fuse blown (T2 250V). Replaced it with another equivalent fuse and it blew right away. I measured L-N in mains input and I sometimes got 4K but sometimes, not sure why, I got 100 Ohm...
At a certain point, moving stuff around, I put all wires back in place and...
