Update, I replace RAMs 2, 5 but same code still, next plan is starting to replace rest RAMs one-by-one to see if code changes...

      Update:

RAM´s 2 and 5 are changed, still same code... So 2,4,5 are changed...should I continue changing the rest or something else?

Have you been ever able to fix this 80801F12 error code? I've got one with the same error. Also EDM-040. Originally completely dead because it missing the NOR chip. I flashed one from another EDM-040 donor board and then it came to live. The original error codes where pointing to the SSD controller, SSD PMIC. After clearing the codes I now only get the 80801F12.

First thing I'm thinking is that I didn't update the serial and board ID in the NOR to match the actual. If that doesn't work I'm thinking it might be the SSD controller. Interesting enough the previous owner had also worked on the RAM IC's. Not sure if they got replaced or just reflowed.

          Hi,

No I´m still working with this, code is still same 80801F12... plan is to replace all Hynix chips, but lets see... One thing crossed my mind, is bios checking memory chips etc...if NOR chip needs to be modified or update after RAM chip replace...

PS4 with BLOD - Getting UART enabled ?
              by orion78fr
              Hi everyone !

So a friend gave me a ps4 to rescue but it just pulses blue and never boots. I can't get it to safe mode either (maintaining the power button never gives a second beep, except after like 15 seconds to force turn off). Nothing visible on the board and removing the hard drive doesn't change anything (SMART data are OK on PC).

I'm trying to enable UART on the PS4 to get info on what it stops on, if a memory is bad, something is corrupted... as explained here : https://repair.wiki/w/PS4_UART_Guide

However, the software that everyone used,...

Synology MR2200ac mesh router, UART connection - login details?
              by spleenharvester
This particular unit powers up, LEDs behave normally, but broadcasts no SSID, will not mesh with any other routers. Plugging in an ethernet cable from a Windows laptop results in "unidentified network" with an autoconfigured IP address and no response to pinging 192.168.1.1.

I was able to log into serial/UART by connecting the 6-pin header to the GPIO on a Raspberry Pi Zero W (GND to GND, TxD to RxD, RxD to TxD, no connection between +3.3V as it is supplied on both sides) using Minicom, command:

              Code:
sudo minicom --baudrate 115200 --device /dev/ttyS0
              ...

PS4 no power after enabling UART
              by Guest
Hi, I have a PS4 Slim that shows no power after I tried to enable UART.
Before this it was working fine except for the disc drive.
I removed the NOR flash, patched the dump to enable UART and put it back on the motherboard.

After this process the PS4 acts like there's no power. I tried the power button, inserting a disc and using the joypad. No beeps/no leds.

It was my first time attempting this so I'm afraid I broke something on the motherboard while using the hot air station, but I can't see any obvious problem or missing component.

              PS5 EDM-033 UART 80810001 Beep 1 second Ligth
              by Egidio85
Hi everyone, I have a ps5 EDM-033 that beeps, blue light for 1 second and turns off.

reading the error codes via uart gives the following code:

80810001 General power failure (periphery, GDDR6, APU, data line shorted)

checking the card I didn't find any shorts, Boot sequence is quite right 325 mA dropping to 9 mA.

Using the thermal camera I can see the SSD controller and South bridge getting warm.

if I press the power button the RAM also heats up, the processor doesn't seem to. in fact if I go to measure I don't have +1v CORE output....

              SK Hynix HMAA4GS6MJR8N-VK 32GB 2Rx8 PC4-2666 DDR4 SODIMM Datasheet / Schematics
              by ee91137
              Hi there,
              I have a SK Hynix HMAA4GS6MJR8N-VK 32GB 2Rx8 PC4-2666 DDR4 with bad ram.
Does anyone have the schematics / datasheet of this memory module?
I would like to know the LSB byte order of each chip as to be able to replace defect chip.
Memtest shows 32kb bad blocks on chip 2.
              Thanks,...
