    Xbox One Fan not Working

So, I did something stupid and then followed it up with something stupid again (I think). Let me explain.
I have an Xbox One (OG model) which I took apart to deep clean. All case components were washed and the board was dusted. I put it back together and it ran for about 30 seconds before I heard a pop and the fan shut off. When I took it back apart, I found a drop of water on the board which must have fell from the top case.

Attempted to test the fan using the schematics. Mind you, it's been years since I've looked at schematics, and my knowledge on reading it is almost non existent. I attempted to power the fan with a bench power supply. Slowly ramped up from 0v and I heard a pop and saw some smoke from the fan at around 8v. Using the schematics below, I used pin 1 as GND and pin 2 as +. Looks like pin

Console still turns on and works fine, it's just the fan that won't spin. Any ideas? How badly did I screw up?

Page 40 here has the schematics for the fan.

go yout the fan right, unless you read the connector backwards and powered 3&4
the power for the fan is on page42
so you have 2 issues - the board not running the fan and a blown fan
probably not worth trying to fix the fan - it most likely just has one custom chip in it - but wont cost anything to open it and look

I've had fans die on me like that before. Luckily the fans are cheap ($8 when I just checked). I'd try getting a new fan for it and see if that fixes it. It's possible only the fan is dead and since you'll absolutely need a new fan anyway may as well start there.

Forgot to update. I ended up replacing the fan and it started working again.
