    Need Asus B450m-a prime bios .bin dump

    I need a more recent Asus B450m-a Prime bios dump in .bin format, so I can flash the SPI directly with my programmer. The main board won't POST anymore. I did find a couple of old dump files, but nothing recent.

      before writing, make a backup copy of the original bios.

          I wish I could. Took the Winbond off the board, put it into my 8 pin SOIC adapter, pin broke off. Argh!!
          Thanks for the file. Have to get a new IC and try it.

          Edit: In linux I can't decompress it properly (has errors) and leaves a 0 byte decompressed file?

              Been otherwise occupied lately and I just got around to program and swap the
              Winbond IC out.

              Here is a dump of a working B450M-A bios. Mine is working once more!

                                      Hi,

                                      I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
                                      The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
                                      Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

                                      Usually on ASUS boards it worked...

                                      With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

                                      For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

                                      I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

                                      Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
                                      With original bios no POST, only LED lights
                                      With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                      Some issues
                                      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                                      B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                                      The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                                      Suspected Cause:
                                      I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

                                      Aloha, I'm trying to recover my ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (FA617NS-A16.R77600)
                                      I have the CH341A programmer and can flash the BIOS chip directly. I need a verified full .bin dump (2MB or full SPI region) for this specific model.

                                      Specs:
                                      - ASUS TUF FA617NS-A16
                                      - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7
                                      - BIOS chip: Winbond W25Q16JVSIQ (2MB)

                                      If anyone has a full dump or can share from a working unit, it would be hugely appreciated.
