I tried to flash the dump of this post but it didn't work.

I’m trying to unlock the BIOS on my HP EliteDesk 800 G2 SFF. The computer works fine, but the BIOS setup (F10) is locked with an Administrator password that I don’t know. I can still boot with F9, but I need to get rid of the password.

          What I’ve done so far:
          • I have a CH341A programmer with SOIC8 clip.
          • I successfully read the 16 MB BIOS chip and saved my own dump.
          • I opened it in UEFITool and located the NVRAM.
          • I tried cleaning the NVRAM (filling with FF) and also keeping the header and cleaning only the body.
          • After flashing those modified dumps, the PC turns on but I get the message:
“The Shared SPI Flash was recovered from Embedded Controller Flash”
and then the password is back again.
          • Flashing back my original dump makes the system work normally again (but still locked).
          • I also tried flashing the official BIOS from HP, but the system didn’t boot (likely because the HP file isn’t a full 16 MB image).

          What I’ve learned:
          • The password is in the NVRAM of the BIOS, but this model also has an EC (Embedded Controller) that seems to rewrite it if it detects changes.
          • So just cleaning NVRAM with my CH341A isn’t enough, because the EC puts the password back.

          What I need:
          • Guidance on how this model can really be unlocked.
          • Do I necessarily need to program the EC as well? If so, what’s the practical way to do it?
          • Is there a way to edit only the password variables inside NVRAM (so the EC doesn’t overwrite it)?
          • Or does this model only work if BIOS + EC are both flashed with clean dumps?

At this point I just want to finally get this machine unlocked and usable. Any advice, tips, or clean dumps known to work for this model would be very appreciated.

          Thanks a lot in advance.

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware
              by Ahari
              Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

              I...

              TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" Bios Password Problem?
              by traxformania
              Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

              I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...

              HP Omen 15-dh0052nf power-on & bios password
              by Nopslide
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....
