Re: Bios For Lenovo All In One C20-00.(LA-C671P)
Thank you very much, I already followed the steps but at the time of writing the new .bin file it tells me that the file size is larger than the chip sizeComment

Re: Bios For Lenovo All In One C20-00.(LA-C671P)
Hi. I would like to ask you for some help. I have right now a Lenovo C20-00 F0BB00GGLD. This pc was having an error with an USB port, when i tryed to access the Bios there was a password, wich is rare. Decided to reinstall the Bios file via windows lenovo installer but when the pc started up i had only a black screen, no mouse, keyboard and nothing else but fan noise and the start button led. I have indentified two memmory chips one is MX25U6435F 64Mbit chip with a 8MB file on it and a smaller 128K Winbond 25X10CL which i suppose is the EC. The 8MB .BIN you can extract it from the lenovo .exe file but no EC .BIN to be found anywhere. I bought the CH341A and rewrote the MX25U6435F which was the only one with enough capacity so it had to be the main Bios. It was the same, no video, no ports, nothing just the fan and led. I'm stuck, two weeks and no progress. Do you have some experience with this kind of hardware? Maybe the EC needs rewriting with the files posted in the forum? or maybe is something else?
Thanks!Last edited by Marasmo; 01-08-2022, 10:55 PM.Comment

Re: Bios For Lenovo All In One C20-00.(LA-C671P)
Decided to install the C20-00 .bin posted earlier and it worked. I'm sure i have installed the right BIN for the Lenovo F0BB00GGLD but now i'm sure it was a corrupt file. Now i have a different machine ID and serial number (obviously a .bin from another c20 model) but i don't care. I'm investigating if serial and model # can be changed without using the Lenovo Bios tool . Thanks a lot to the contributors.Last edited by Marasmo; 01-09-2022, 10:12 PM.Comment

by DiddiAbRecently I used the official Lenovo bios updater software on my ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN (20YA0005GE). The updating process failed and I got a black screen after powering the device. Of course I did not make an own backup before using the Lenovo bios updater.
I bought a CH341A programmer and was able to make a connection to the chip while it is still soldered on board. But I did not realise that the chip was a 16MB size and selected the wrong size (8Mbit / 1 MByte) before reading the content of my chip. So the dump I did before erasing the chip is only 1MByte big. I fear that I lost...-

by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by grimacelordHello there.
I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...-

by jendkkd jejeSo a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...10-11-2024, 03:12 PM -

I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge - Loading...
