    P4SD Rev 0W

    Hi there.

    My friend just got a load of P4SD boards + P4 2.8GHZ from the dumpster. I tested some of them and they were working fine (even fixed some bad caps)... The one I take home is just dead.

    I plug in the power to the PSU and it starts up, and it doesn't post and just sits there. What do I do?

    Cheers,
    Oerg

    resolder/reflow the CPU Socket (if you have the tools for it)
    otherwise -> no chance

      OK, I cannot do it professionally but I will try using the method I fixed a few GFX-cards with (just an oven @ 185C 15 minutes...) Who knows, maybe that helps

          Hey thanks for the answers so far but: it doesn't work... Just green light & fan spin, thats all.

          Btw: Where on the front panel header is speaker connector for bios beeps?

          Cheers,
          Oerg

          edit: The heatsink gets REALLY hot too :/
