    Asrock E350M1

Hello guys I have a very strange problem with my Asrock E350M1 that serves in my little homeserver. On every reboot the system hangs: after it shut down and next you would expect the BIOS Post showing up nothign happens. The Fans run at full speed, black screen, no beep. After disconnecting the power cord and reconnecting it then it takes further attempts and sometimes I have to go through this process 20 times to get it to boot. Also when I try to enter the BIOS the post screen freezes. But if I not touch it during POST and let the server boot it runs rock stable. What is wrong here?

Sounds like BIOS corruption almost, tried installing the latest BIOS?

Well I not see any chance how to do that as I am not able to enter the BIOS / UEFI and start the update
Removed the Battery already but nothing changed.

They have BIOS updates for both MS-DOS and Windows.
I prefer to flash from DOS, it is usually the most reliable way to flash...

Have a look at the caps and test it with a different PSU just in case.

              Updating a BIOS on ASROCK
              by paulwal
Hi. I am not too up on installing BIOS so am looking for a little direction installing a BIOS update.
              https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/AB350%...index.asp#BIOS

              I have an ASROCK AB350 Pro4 that is running a P3.00 BIOS.
CPU is AMD Ryzen5 1500X which I believe is a "Summit Ridge."
Before I go ahead and update it to the latest version, I thought I would ask whether my plan is right to try and be sure I don't make a mess of things.
It appears that the latest BIOS for this chip is the 5.80; therefore I need to install (one at a time)…

              ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
              by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
              Some issues
              A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

              Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
              by Wahaz
              Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
              by Bloodhoundje
              Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

              ASRock N100M looking for Bios
              by Exim
              Help request:
I am trying to solve a problem with an ASRock N100M board, it seems to be stuck in an infinite loop in POST (all details and a short video here). External flashing of the available bios versions does not solve the problem.

I don't know if this is a hardware problem or possibly a corrupt ME region in the bios. Therefore I am looking for both
              - Bios file with clean ME region
              as well as
              - Schematic and Boardview file

I have a working programmer, a dump of the bios chip and the bios file from the manufacturer ...
