it's not stable, one of the FET is dissipating too much heat,that's why it's shut down...

what's the valid value for NTC (CPU sensor) I got only 1 ohm on my meter in circuit measurement...Comment

Done fixing it....POST successfull....I must hold the heatsink and put thermal paste for it...
and it's POST until displaying boot message in VGA....tada..!!!

It's working now after replacing some FETs, caps and buck controller..NTC as well..

My asus board doing something strange, didn't saw anything like that before
I get 1 short beep on start... and after five secs i get 1 long and 3 short beeps.
Changing CPU, RAM and GPU didn't gave any results. -

I have a problem with my laptop as in the title, black screen, capslock displays error code 5 long 3 short, no voltage on the coils above the CPU, before removing the drive I had 0.8v there, power led flashed 5x long and the battery would not charge (current jumped from 0.5a to 2.8a), now on the power led I have a steady white light or orange when the battery is connected.
What I did:
- Laptop was not detecting ram, loose pins on ram slot, error 3.2 disappeared, ram working tested in another laptop

Hi,
My laptop went dead and after checking ,the main 19 volt power rail was shorted. After some checks i could identify that a high side vcore mosfet was shorted.
I replaced the mosfet and now the white powerled is present , fans start spinning but capslock shows the famous 5 long and 3 short code.
I checked the vcore voltages after replacement and i get for all 1.01 V so means for me that the driver is still working of the replaced shorted mosfet. On the Nvidia i measure around 0.8 V after the mosfets.
I did voltage injection on the cpu with 0.7V and i have a current... -

I have a "HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba104na" in for repair. The caps lock flash 3 long and 5 short.
HP says this error means:
The red light blinks three times, and then five, short white light blinks (3 long red, 5 short white)
This condition indicates that the computer does not detect the processor (CPU).
Does this mean the CPU is dead or is there another cause for this fault?
