I have a "HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba104na" in for repair. The caps lock flash 3 long and 5 short.
HP says this error means:
The red light blinks three times, and then five, short white light blinks (3 long red, 5 short white)
This condition indicates that the computer does not detect the processor (CPU).
Does this mean the CPU is dead or is there another cause for this fault? -
Hi everyone , I need your help with this board and it's giving me a hard time . 3 long and 2 shorts base on HP site it's a MEMORY ERROR , tried replacing RAM it's still the same. RAM VOLTAGE has 1.2V i think it has a complete voltage a 3.3v and there's also ah 2v , tried checking pins if there any damage or unsoldered and everythings good , now I don't what should I do next. Also tried reflashing and programming the bios and still the same, hopefully there's someone who can help me with this since im having like 4 laptop with the same error. -

After opening an hp elitebook 830 g8 because i wanted to read and write EC chip for unlocking BIOS, the computer has black screen and caps lock led on. Not blinking, just on.It begins at the time I've reconnected the battery or at the time i plug the DC power, before i push the power button.
That's weird because i didn't succeed to write the chip because my wrench was not the good one (too large). I've tried disconnecting the battery, the cmos, the ram and drive and reconnecting everything, not working. i've tried on DC with no battery, not succeed. I did not... -
HP model 14-al107nt, came Shorted IO ITE 8987E, replace it, programmed it with an EC file extracted from the Bios Dump but no Luck, Caps lock error code 5 long 3 short "Bios did not return data to IO" anyone have experience with that... -
Hi guys this laptop has a bit of a history. Someone else has tried to repair it. When it came to me it was partially dismantled and has a new screen fitted
The owner says it worked for a while after the screen was fitted, then the screen started to go 'funny' but I didn''t really get to the bottom of what they mean. They said it works with an external monitor
What I found is, the screen is blank, it has backlight but no image and after a little while the backlight goes off. I don't get an image on an external monitor.
