    Re: WinFast A6600GT AGP Card

You need to leave more information regarding the system you are installing this card into. Good info would be Manufacturer and Model of your Motherboard, for instance.

        Re: WinFast A6600GT AGP Card

You have to give us what manufacturer and model your motherboards are.

The A6600GT's AGP connector has only one notch for the AGP 1.5V side, so his mobo is probably an AGP 4X or AGP 8X motherboard.

Ok,....the mobo is Asus P4P800 agp slot 8x....Intel P4 3.0Ghz 512MB DDR 1,,...Windows XP pro....but it's kinda weird though because before this happen it can use to be playing NFS:MW ....suddenly it became behavior like its OverHeating and i change to the new fan using the ZALMAN cooling solution....after that it became not posting....well now im using the 9600XT AtI Radeon AGP 8x..so the mobo didn't have a problem...

Thats exactly what i would assume. Fitting those Zalman HSF is a delicate thing.
If you tighten the screws with to much torque, teh chip will gone.
If you scratch the surface with the screwdriver, some trace could be damaged.

If wan901 is in the USA, there is a cheap 6800XT 128MB AGP card on TigerDirect for $54.99. By looking at the picture, there is a good heatsink on that cheapie 6800XT.

Razer Blade 15 Advanced (RZ209-033) graphic card issue
                    by shybear
                    hi,
this laptop works but temperature rise too much. I dismounted mb and cleaned well. There was a lot of dust inside.
I think that there is a graphic chipset issue because when I power the machine I get this error:
"the detected discrete gpu VBIOS is not meant for this system"
This make me think that maybe the gpu VBIOS has to be re programmed.
BTW someone already worked on this mainboard. Near graphic board there is Winbond flash memory that I think its stored the VBIOS.
I attach some pictures and one of message error I get when I power on the ...

                    by Deong
It's a problem that the screen is not output properly.
There is no problem with the capacitor with the naked eye.
There is no problem when I look at it with the tester.
Is there a place where I can download the graphic card scheme?
Unlike WATER PUMP, it's very complicated.

Marian Trace Alpha sound card repair help
                    by Christos Tsiligiannis
                    Hello to the forum.

My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.

So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.

To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.

So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...

                    Graphics Card mounting frame
                    by Kemer
Hello, I removed the graphics card from my laptop and I want to heat it in the oven. What I want to ask is, is it okay to heat the card without removing the metal mounting frame on it?

As you can see in the photo, there is a plastic (black) gasket between the metal frame and the card. It sticks the frame tightly to the card.

I previously removed the metal frame while heating it, but it is quite difficult to separate it from the surface it is attached to. If there is no problem, I do not want to remove it.

What worries me right now is the possibility that...
