I received this RTX3080 with a clear short on one of the 12V inputs. The PSU goes into protection mode, and simply clicks when turned on (My friend told me that).
I tried injecting 1v 3a at the shorted side, but nothing gets hot as these boards are crazy thick. I don't wanna damage the GPU, so I'm currently considering removing the mosfets one by one and checking, but as they are right up against alu caps, it will be risky, as they need crazy heat to remove.
I sadly do not own a ESR meter so my Fluke 189 struggles telling the resistance difference between the mosfets.
I'm all ears, as this is my first GPU repair.
