    Z170 Pro Gaming

I've had something similar with Z170 Pro Gaming. One morning, it wasn't booting. I replaced battery CR2032 then it boot once, I could access BIOS and that was the last time after I restarted it never boot again. I didn't change anything from BIOS. I've tried with no RAM with another CPU... real headache.

Now when I press power button, fan spins for 2 secs then stop... again spin 2 secs and stop and it will repeat this sequence forever. Asus support said I should buy a new one.... I've reflash Z170 PRO GAMING BIOS 3805 with my programmer but still same.

Looking at my Z170 Pro Gaming, I've identifed MX25L512. i've read it using SOIC 8 PIN connected to EEPROM prgrammer and I get a 64K file. I've attached BIOS and TPU. Now I need to figure it out.

Normally if this happens, it means one of the violage is not present.or produced. Hence it will boot loop..one of the possible thing. Not for beginner.

That chip is for the controller called tpu xxxxx. It is not the bios for the board
