    Wireless card driver issue

As some of you may know, I got a Dell C640 for my grandmother and ordered a Broadcom based mini PCI card so that it could have wireless connectivity with the provided inbuilt antenna. I waited 2 weeks and the wireless card came from Hong Kong. No biggie there at all.
Anyway, I installed it and Windows XP detects that the card is there and says it's an unknown "network controller", no biggie there either.
Now when I try to install the driver it doesn't install! I've run the stupid EXE file over and over again and it doesn't install and application nor a driver. I even extracted the driver and manually made Windows look for the driver in the extracted files and it still tells me it can't find the correct driver.

This is the card I bought: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320436515...ht_3458wt_1071

I'm just frustrated it won't work even though I've tried the right apparent driver... unless some fuckwit sold me a fake card that says "broadcom" on the chip but is really some other shit chip in there....

    Re: Wireless card driver issue

first step: uninstall the driver. (it's a must)
    second: turn off the computer.
third step: remove the wireless card from the computer.
forth step: turn on the computer and install the driver (without the wireless card)
fifth step: turn off the computer.
sixth step: install the wireless card and reboot.

if the above doesn't work, most likely the card is defective.

some wireless card cannot find their driver just because you have not install the software before you install the hardware.
it sounds wired, but it happened to me so many times.

look up the ViD and PID in the device manager, then check the driver .inf file if it's listed there.

Thanks for the tip! I completely forgot about ViD and PiD... turns out what the seller provided me was just an application, not a driver. Once I found the correct INF files off the net for Broadcom it worked!

Nintendo 2DS SD Card Reader issue. Problem on the clock line?
                  by Technomancer
I have a 2DS that I am working on that has a problem reading SD cards. It knows that card is in the slot (which, means the detect pin is working anyway) but it says it canโ€™t read the card.

Here is what I have done so far:
-Tried SD card in another 2DS and on PC, works great.
-Tried piggybacking another SD card slot (just so I didnโ€™t have to take the other one off), same issue.
-Compared voltage drop readings from a working 2DS to the faulty one. All reads are very close except one, the 7th pin from the left, with the pins closest to you, which I believe...

how to install gl usb2.0 uvc camera device driver on windows 10
                  by bohaboha
Hello all am trying to reinstall my AMCAP Microscope on windows 10 but it is not working anymore. But the cam and the drivers are present in the Device Manager but there it saysWindows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) the drivers is : gl usb2.0 uvc camera device driver and i also get this mesage: Windows found driver software for your device but encouโ€‹ntered an error.
but it is quite strange because it did work on this same OS for one week ago and even for sometimes ago on that same but now nix.
                  any help?

ASRock AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT Causes Computer To Lose Display Until Forced Reboot
                  by grimacelord
Hello. I have an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT Phantom Gaming D 8G OC video card that recently began to give me trouble after 1 year of perfectly fine usage.

The problem initially began after a year of use as the display randomly losing signal (i.e. screen goes black). The PC's fans would spin high, but the display would never recover until I hard shut down the PC and then rebooted. This would happen randomly and not too often.

Over time, this problem became more and more frequent to the point where any moderate use of the video card in any capacity would trigger a black...

Razer Blade 15 Advanced (RZ209-033) graphic card issue
                  by shybear
                  hi,
this laptop works but temperature rise too much. I dismounted mb and cleaned well. There was a lot of dust inside.
I think that there is a graphic chipset issue because when I power the machine I get this error:
"the detected discrete gpu VBIOS is not meant for this system"
This make me think that maybe the gpu VBIOS has to be re programmed.
BTW someone already worked on this mainboard. Near graphic board there is Winbond flash memory that I think its stored the VBIOS.
I attach some pictures and one of message error I get when I power on the ...
