Dell P2214Hb not turning on, power supply issue?

Hello, I have a Dell LED monitor P2214Hb that doesn't do anything when the power button is pressed, power button is not lighting up at all. I'm pretty new to this, but I started with testing the power supply first. I know I'm dealing with high voltage and am being careful, I'm using a differential probe for my O-scope measurments. The PS board is E162032 Vol. 3, 4H.26302.A04.

Currently I'm getting steady 5v at pins 3,4,5 at the left side connector output and steady 22v at the right side connector output pins 3,4. Right side pins 1,2,5,6 is switching between 0-60v and left side pins 1,2 have a wierd cycling voltage between -0.5 - 1v. Since this is for an LED monitor I'm not sure if these are an issue or if this is normal.

I'm not seeing any obvious shorts or opens anywhere, but I could be missing something. First waveform is the Left side output pin 1, second and third waveforms are the right side output pins 1,2,5,6. The second one is the actual waveform, the third one is my ground probe attached and my other probe lead just floating/not touching anything. The fourth waveform is at the gate of MOSFET Q801.

I have 22v at Drain of Q801 and it looks like the gate is switching, but I don't understand where the source is going? There's 2 R39 resistors parallel to ground and a 1k ohm resistor going back to the IC.

Sorry if this is excessively long, I tried to get as much detail as I have so far. Any help is appreciated.

One thing I noticed is that some of the soldering joints look suspiciously suspect they might be bad soldering joints I would recommend that you re-solder them first and see if this makes a difference or not

What I referring to is the soldering joints that have rings around them or have a lot of flux residue around them I would re- solder them just for good measure

Yes this is time consuming but sometimes well worth the effort to know that this is not a contributing factor in what might be causing you issues

Did you have any specific ones? They all looked good from what I can tell. The one smd cap by Q801 I desoldered because I thought it was shorted but it wasn't so I resoldered. That didn't change any issues I've been having before or after. I tried to get a better picture too.

The ones that I circled in red it mostly the larger diameter component pins that I circled

This is what I am seeing from the picture that you post now I do not know if it is the way the light is hitting it that it makes it look like it not a good soldering joint

Macbook Air A2337 not turning on - ISL or CD issue?
          by tomtom67
Have an A2337 here, which suffered some serious coffee damage. After cleaning C5220 fell from the board, so I replaced it and after lifting the ISL I found pad C5 was also partially corroded, first reballed the original ISL (no power), and then replaced it from a donor.
I now get 5V / ~10mA stable on the charger, and found the CHGR_GATE_Q2 (GATE_Q2 on the ISL) doesn't get activated (Q1 does).

Is this an ISL or a communication issue (perhaps with the CD3217s)?

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
          by Rozp
          Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

          LG OLE65C1 Stand-By issue
          by Titus6
          Hello everyone,

I bought an OLED65C1 refurbished TV back in 2022 from a shop. The TV is awesome, this is my first OLED and I really love it.

However I have an issue with the TV since the end of last year. I noticed when my TV is in Stand-By, sometimes the LED goes off then comes back on. When do so it seem periodical. It only goes away for 1-2 seconds, than comes back on. The TV NEVER turnes off, while it's on, so it's not overheating issue or electrical power issue.

I bought a service remote (MKJ39170828) and checked the menu 3. Power On/Off Status. I took...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
          by rounin
          Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

          🛠 Original Issue
          The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Magnum IA.100 Amplifier Switches on, No Output, Possible Input Side fault?
          by flibidy
I have here a Magnum IA.100 which belongs to my parents.

The unit powers on & when the relay kicks in, you get a pop from the speakers (this might sound weird but is usual behavior for this amp). However, you get nothing coming through it from any of the inputs & no pops and crackls from any of the controls.

Because of the sound from the speaker when the amp turns on I have assumed that the output section probably works but I could be wrong & I'm not sure how to test that side of things further.

          What Ive done........
