1 red vertical line, then a green or red line

Hanns-g HC 194D. 2.5 years old. Started with 1 vertical red line after heating up.
Replaced the bulging electrolytic caps. Okay for about a month. Then it reoccurred. I found that by pressing different areas of the top circuit board attached to the LCD, it would go away. The back casing is still off. Now I get 1 vertical green line at start up which goes away. Once in a while it may reappear or a red line may.

    Attached circuit board area image.
Yellow circle seems to be a good pressure point.
    MAX1977.. is a regulator
    AR7 unknown
    AS15F... unknown
SMD caps uF and v are all unknown.
It should be against some law to manufacture, sell or install unmarked caps

Any idea as to what may be causing the problem?
    Thanks, Mike

Could be a possibility that when you put pressure on that spot that you've marked, disturbs whatever is plugged in at the bottom. (Ribbon)? Check in that area, maybe remove and refit. Check for cracks.

Most likely where you were pressing were affecting the connections where you marked the word "TOP". There is a bad connection there somewhere....

Samsung UN50TU8000FXZC shows thin horizontal green line when warm
        by cubytus
        Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

One vertical green line on my AQUOS LC-70LE740E TV
        by hoot
        Hello,

on my AQUOS LC-70LE740E LCD TV there is a vertical green line on the screen. (pictures below)

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Up close it looks something like this.

        Can this fault be serviced?

What I want to do is the following:

gently pressing on the ribbon connections along the top and bottom of the panel in the area of that line. Pushing a driver IC onto the flex cable it sits on to restore the lost connection. When the problematic area is found installing...

        Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line
        by TrueSword88
        Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
        by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
        by mrsith
        Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...
