    Benq E2200HDA Monitor weird sound

    Hey,

    I have a Benq Monitor which has a strange weird sound coming from the PCB with the image flickering and then goes blank, after I re`power the monitor the image appears but with the noise and then goes blank after couple of seconds. LED is green, it doesn`t go on standby. Checked the cables, even the video card, all good.

      Which pcb do you mean,is the power board and mainboard seperate or in one. Whats the monitor model number,and the pcb

          I assume is the PCB, i didn`t opened up. Is a Benq E2200HDA.

              Attached is the service manual, take it apart and post pictures of the power board.The big capacitor could still have a high voltage in it so be carefull what you touch.

                  Good day ladies and gentleman!

                  I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

                  This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

                  I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

                  Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea.                   Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor - Works For A Second & Then Blank Display

                  I've got a Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor that works for a moment and then the display goes off but the power LED indicator remains on. If you power it off and back on again it does the same thing, it comes on and then the display goes blank. From a cold start it takes 10 seconds or so before the display goes blank but if you turn it off and then back on again after it already being on it goes blank a lot quicker so I'm assuming something is getting hot which is causing the display to go off.

                  so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

                  i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                  Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.

                  Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.

                  The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.
