Problem with Mirage 200-000-1700TLBMH VERSION: A board

Hello, After searching in this fantastic forum I didn't find info for the board I mentioned in the title.
This power board from Mirage Electronics is from a Packard Bell Maestro 191W monitor. I received this monitor not working, My skills to elecetronic repair are not that good, but I can replace components.
As I look at the board I can't see any bulging capacitors, they look all fine.
The thing I notice are the two dark spots on the front side near the two 220uF capacitors. On the backside of the board there are two transistors (3055 6H) with, what is look like, a strange solder bonding. Looks like it has been molten by heat.
Could anyone please have a look at the pictures and give me an advice of what can be the problem with this board.

    Thanks in advance

Whenever I visit the doctor, one of the first questions asked is 'How much money do you have for me?'. (OK, I'm kidding. The doctor is a gentleman; his office manager is responsible for prying every possible dollar out of my wallet.)

What the doctor does first is listen to my symptoms. While I have no desire to play doctor (although I would like to be paid like one), I have to know the symptoms before I can make a diagnosis. (At least you can be sure I won't be asking you to face the wall and cough. Or worse yet, rest your elbows on the table).

So What are the symptoms? Does the power LED ever come on? Are there any unusual sounds from the monitor? Is there a brief flash of light, then nothing? Have you checked the fuses? How about the output voltages? The voltage across the very large capacitor?

As far as the dark spots, that is normal. The two transistors on the back side of the board drive the inverter transformers; they normally generate a good deal of heat. This is a very moderate example of the discoloration that can occur.

      Complementary to my previous post.
The Packard Bell Maestro 191W monitor contains a "Proview, model PV190WLCM" lcd panel. When the monitor starts, the power light lights up, after 4 seconds the backlight lights up for 3 seconds and shuts down. The backlight visible is pink. The power light remains on and isn't blinking.
Every time the panel starts up it has the same result.
There are no unusual sounds heard.
Is it a power supply issue or are the light bulbs aged. (the monitor is just 2.5 years old)

pink-ish backlight usually means the CCFLs (Lamps) are shot.
seems to happen a lot on monitors with Mirage PSU/Inverter combos.

almost all of those monitors have a problem with the range of brightness in the OSD.
i.e. everything above say 50% brightness doesn't visibly change anything (or just barely noticable), but the CCFLs get too much voltage and the lifetime is shortened a whole lot.

        happened to me too unfortunately
but on a Proview 19" Widescreen (Model 900P) ... also with a Mirage PSU/Inverter combo. Lamps were toast and in this case, replacing them wasn't worth it (monitor was in a pretty poor shape.. scratches on the screen, small cracks in the casing etc.)

By disassambling the tft panel and removing the tubes, it came clear that the CCFLs are indeed at the end of their life time.
I've ordered 4 new tubes for 20 euro total directly from China to replace.
          Thanks for thinking with me.

I have this very same board the symptoms are a little different the monitor lights up for couple seconds than goes out but with a flashlight I can see an image on the screen. I have the same dark spots but no visual signs of bad caps. these transistors are the same 3055 6h would these be the problem for my symptoms?

It's possible it's the transistors, but unlikely IMHO. I'd suggest searching for my posts on the 'Two Seconds to Black' issue and start checking out the possibilities.

It depends on your definition of 'easy'. Various people have reported problems such as bad capacitors, bad insulation, broken wires, aging CCFL, bent pin on connector, broken CCFL, bad solder joint, shorted transformer, open transformer, conductive glue, and leaky diode.

Wow that covers a lot of possibilities I can now go through the process of elimination. But I substituted a board from another unite that was showing a pink screen and it works just fine. Now I have a unite with a bad board and bad lamps.

Or you have a unit you can use as a parts donor.

Thanks that's the positive spin. There is some good in everything. I do aim to revive that board though and maybe play around with several other monitors I have acquired and in need of repairs. I truly appreciate this site some very knowledgeable people here. Thanks again.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
                                    by Hakuu
                                    Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
