    If the LCD is hooked up to a computer, can you see the display if you shine a flashlight onto the LCD?

    It looks like there are 2 fuses on the inverter board. Check to see if they are open or not. A good fuse should measure less than 1.0 ohms on your multimeter.

        It has a single fuse on the inverter board, looks like a resistor, green in color, F1 right above C49 to the left of the connector, reads .1 ohms. Same for F251 on the main board.

            4) For best picture quality and clarity take your boards to a window on a sunny day, turn flash off, and use macro mode. Take a top down view of all your boards (front and back). Make sure the photo is legible so that we can read the PCB printing clearly. A shutter speed of 1/125 or faster will produce nice clear focused pictures. Try to get a photo that is 2000x2000 resolution or as close as possible.

            5) Here is an example of the pictures we want.

            6) If you have a multimeter, check the connector between the power and logic board to see if the secondary voltages like 5V DC are present. You might also see 12V or 19V DC depending on the monitor.

                I can't even get the case open to get to the electronics. I found 4 screws (on corners) so what next? I need a guiding hand.
                I feel like a total idiot!!!!

                        LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem

                        I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

                        Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                        Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

                        First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
                        When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

                        For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

                        History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...

                        I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

                        In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                        1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
                          Frequency: Happened about once a week.
                          Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                        2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
                          Frequency: Happened about once a week.
                          Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                        3. Problem: TV shuts down
