    Dell XPS 1530 LP154WP1 LG Display....internal damage?

First time ever seen this kind of streaking inside a laptop LCD panel. The damage seems to be visible from the front and from the back but the screen is not physically scraped on the front. Is there any way to fix this kind of problem. This horizontal smear does not appear on an external monitor. See the pictures thanks for the help.

Looks like stress marks in the plastic on the right of the photo.
It could be the back reflector deformed possibly.

Maybe caused by heat, left in hot car or on table poolside sunny day.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Inspiron 15-3521 ~ LA-9104P ~ No Power - corroded board with pics of damage and some voltages
        by jasonbay13
it was working yesterday, i opened it up and saw this mess. boardview and schematic uploaded for convenience.

        PU200
pin 17 vreg5 = 0v ~ solder joint was corroded and flicked right off with my probe, was able to get clean and reflow, rest look fine.
        pin 8 vreg3 = 0v
        pin 13 en = .2v
        pin 1,6 entrip1,2 = 0v

        b+ and b++ = 19.5v
        +5valw = 0v & 25+ohm to ground
        +3valwp = 0v & 25+ohm to ground

i cleaned the board up just a little and can get more pics.
where should i be looking? thx...

Dell Latitude 5590 (motherboard: LA-F411P Rev 1.0) No Power (Liquid Damage)
        by zklgfs
        Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude 5590 with motherboard LA-F411P Rev 1.0 that has liquid damage and doesn't turn on anymore when only the charger is plugged in. However, it does turn on when powering it from a battery. I couldn't find schematics for this exact board, but LA-F401P seems to be similar (that post says LA-F411P, but the attached schematics are actually for LA-F401P): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...oardview-neede...

Dell Pro 13 Plus PB13250 Bios Unlock
        by Akhlz001
        Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

Dell Inspiron 5590 Board 18778-1 no charging, charging not possible
        by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...
