    Dell E153FPf Power problem

    Hi all

I have a Dell E153FPf lcd screen and it has a dead power. I checked the board and found out that one of the IC ( SMD ) blown and some resistors and diode looks broken as well.

I think best thing is to change board. Anyone knows where can I find this board???

    Many thanks...

I'm not familiar with this monitor. Does it have an external power 'brick', or is the power supply internal?

Pictures would be a BIG help.

      Welcome to Badcaps.net

Here's a pic of the PSU that according to my notes your monitor must have. Is this it?

Also, post info on the suspected components, and as PlainBill said, pics really help because we don't have the unit in front of us.

Through holes have their places and far more reliable. Less worries about odd parts.

SMD stuff is very geeky but it is CHEAPEST for them on production (pick and place on those damned glue if used especially if glue is bad one) that gives strange problems that is hard to troubleshoot (RCA was famous for that in that CTC17x/CTC18x/CTC19x days).

            Cheers, Wizard

If he got the new one as here ,

              http://www.lcdrepair.us/e153fpf-logic.html

Then he will have more problems, than the old board gives out, the old board is usualy a easy fix, I got a 15''+17'' new boards with mosfets + rec diode+resistors out and possibily pwm controllers, give me old board any day

I know. That's why I was asking if the one I post is his board. But from what he wrote on the first post, I guess it's not. I just need confirmation.

there is a blown up SMD IC is on the board which has 8 legs and can not read what is it. It is on power side.

In ebay.com (usa) , it is cheaper to send it to UK (if that is the case). Just $6.00 USD (like 4.50 Pounds).

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                        by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                        Hi everyone,

I am dealing with the problem of turning on and off my Dell e7470 notebook.

The battery charge light is solid white, I press the button, the power indicator and the light on the button are solid for 1-2 seconds and immediately turn off.

The system does not turn on, there is no post.

I removed the RAMs and changed them, changed the battery, RTC battery, AC adapter, removed them and waited, tried again, it does not turn on.
The problem continues in the same way.
I tried to turn on the Fn key, nothing came to the screen....
