    Sorry for the delay.

    You were correct by disconnecting J1 I now got a steady voltage. But the power light is permanently ON, even if I don't connect the monitor to the PC!!!!.

    The ON/OFF button is not functioning the power light turns ON when I plug the monitor to the AC power!!.

    Nothing appears on the monitor at all (no welcoming screen, and nothing from the PC)!!.

        Isn't that a burn on the adhesive bad under T802? That would indicate it has failed and/or been under heavy load.

        There is also a joint which looks open circuit just above the circled area in the photo. I would suggest carefully resoldering that area and removing excess with desolder wick.

            You mean T302, no it is not this is caused by touching it by mistake with the soldering iron.

            The opened joint also has no pins to be in it, so it is not a problem.

                You're not going to see an image because the inverter isn't getting power now, and thus there are no backlights.
                Try shining a bright light close on the screen and you may pick up the image (faintly)

                    What about what I mentioned before:

                    When I plug the monitor to the AC power, without pressing the ON/OFF button. The power light is permanently blue ON. Even without connecting the monitor to the PC!!!!.

                    The ON/OFF button is not functioning.

                    Does this mean it is the main board problem now?.

                        What is the 5v rail voltage with J1 disconnected and the mainboard connected?

                        Can you post a photo of the mainboard too?

                            Hi,
                            i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

                            Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

                            Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

                            Appreciate your help....

                            Hello Badcaps Community,

                            I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

                            The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

                            Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.

                            Good evening, gentlemen.

                            I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

                            To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.
