Need help where Capacitor goes Hanns hw191D

    I really messed up, i removed capacitors without mapping them. I don't know where the 1 470uf 10v goes. It's a hanns G hw191D. Please help. i found a picture that shows 1000uf 10v goes in #3 and #4. i know the 470uf 25v goes in 1,2,8

Here is the Service manual. Page 64 seems like they have the 470 uF caps.

what are the 3 caps you have left?

btw, you should have changed the 2 smaller ones too.

                  wtf.
put the others in then - you should only have ONE place it could go.

                      you have 3 caps?
                      and 3 spaces?

Sorry about that I did not notice it had rev D instead of A. Unfortunately, they changed the board layout so much the boards are completely different. With the PDF file if you want to find something usually you can go to edit then down to find and put the what you are looking for in the box and hit return.

The output of that power supply is 5v and 12v and probably a higher voltage like 18-20v which goes upwards towards the inverter section (which produces the higher voltage for light tubs).

Flip the board and follow with your eyes or with a multimeter on continuity mode where the trace under the + lead of that capacitor goes.

It most likely goes to that 4 or 8 pin connector which plugs directly into the other board which has the processor that decodes the vga/dvi/hdmi etc inputs and generates the signal that goes in the lcd panel.

The connector linking the psu to the display board should have 5v , ground, on/off signal wire, adjust brightness wire and probably 12v and ground and maybe 3.3v and more ground wires. Maybe the role of each pin is even written on the bottom of the board somewhere.

On that other board, you may see tiny text saying what each pin of that connector does, or you may figure out based on what capacitors are connected to each of those traces
For example if there's a 10v rated capacitor on the other board on the trace that connect the trace on the power supply board, for sure it won't carry 12v, but most likely 5v or 3.3v ...and that means in that location on your power supply board you probably had the 10v rated capacitor there.

Could also check the manual again, while it's a slightly different model it may be just tiny variation between them such as yours lacking the DVI connector (vga only model).

The service manual may still have schematic for the processor board and show there what each of those 4 or 8 pins are supposed to be doing. As you learn the role of those pins, you can go backwards and follow the traces on the power supply and see which pin on the connector was connected to that number 5 or number 7 capacitor.

Also, if you give the board number we can see if we can find the layout.

Zoom in on the picture it shows a label with barcode and numbers- H11AO11201427. on the back of the board is a sticker with numbers H11AO11100554

If the confusion is only between the three Caps 470mf 10v and 25 volts , it's easy to locate their true places , as the drawn circles on board would be smaller for the 10 volts than the 25 volts .
Otherwise put them all 25 volts ..

Since you do have 1000uf 10V in place, then the positive leg of the 1000uF caps should be connected to one end of the Inductor (Round inductor with black shrink tubing which is part of the Pi filter network), another end of the inductor should go to the pad where the 470uF 10V cap should be. Your board look to have 3 inductors for Pi filters for 3 power supplies.
Good clear straight shot pictures of the bottom side of the board will help a lot.
