    Gateway lines in picture

Hello, I`m noob here so sorry for somethink what probably was here but I can`t find solution simillar to my problem. I have broken Gateway LCD 19" which I bought on eBay for few pounds and this monitor have vertical lines in the picture. I google it this problem and somewhere I found that can be problem of 470uF 25V Samxons capacitor so I changed them but with no luck. I make 2 pictures of the LCD and on each one is different picture so I think this will be still some kind of capacitor problem, maybe is something wrong with that 100uF 450V so I will probably change it but before that i would like to know some other opinion.

    Many thanks for answers.

From what I can see from your very large photo's, its the display that's faulty. That symptom is normally a fault with the connection of the driver chips to the display glass itself - they are held on with glue and its not unusual for them to come unstuck giving exactly the symptoms you show.

There's a chance it could be the flexi-cable/wires that connect the display to the main board - wiggling those with the monitor on should soon show if there's any problem there.

But, if as I suspect, its the driver chips themselves then there's very little you can do. I've managed to botch a few myself before now with a bit of paper to push the connections back into place (once you've spent the time gently flexing them to find which one is faulty) and that's still working OK, but YYMV.

looks like that panel got whacked.
look at the dark streaks in the damaged area.
the panel is damaged.only fix is replacement.

If you take a good close up of the backside of the glass panel with the identification,
I can look around to see if I have one.
The viewsonic I took apart yesterday, shown here broken,
has a Chunghwa 17 TFT panel.

Thanks mates, I just disassembled the LCD and you are right, LCD is cracked. I thought that is some dust because picture was almost normal...

I looked on the back side of the LCD and I find that`s manufacturer is HannStar and model of the LCD is HSD190MD12 rev. 0 so if someone have this LCD I`am interest it to buy it.

            Many thanks

P.S. Sorry for those big pictures and for bad english.

Here's the 15', you'll have to use black paint around the extra four inches.

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?
                by noisykid
5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening. We did hook up a new Nintendo Switch to our HDMI switching receiver today, and played for a while with no issues, but this problem didn't occur til a few hours later while...

Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 w/ large vertical lines & no picture
                by srs
I'm not sure what to do next and came here since y'all helped me fix a 50" plasma TV back in 2014, which is still working!

A friend gave me an Insignia NS-50DR620NA18 50" TV that suddenly developed large vertical lines on it. He said he had no idea what might have caused it and has replaced it with a larger TV. He was going to throw it away.

I did not notice any bulged or leaking caps on any board, the voltages produced by the power supply match the voltage that the pins are marked. The backlight leds are working. I have tried cleaning the ribbon cables...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                by TR103
                Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                - sound and backlight, but no picture
                - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                - it keeps rebooting
                - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

                Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...
