I have a 1440 x 900 monitor which is a V7 r19wps.
there is no backlight but on poweron i can see no video message before it goes back into standby using a flashlight.
i've taken it apart and the power/inverter board and logic board look fine, and so i removed the power board and had it on the desk to force bl-on (to be sure). i jumped 5v to blon pin and no backlight, though it got quiet. so next i tried one of my test cfl lamps, and it glowed (only tried 1 of the 4 ports).
this does mean the ccfl inside the screen has gone bad, yes? i'ved replaced one ccfl before, this looks to be a little easier to get to. but do you think it could be anything else and whether it would be worth it?
