Green vertical line on right side of Dell IN1910N flat panel monitor

I am getting a green vertical line on right side of Dell IN1910N flat panel monitor. It started suddenly a few days ago when I was using the computer now it just does not seem to go away. The line is there on the booth screen and continues to be there on Windows. The line is also there when the screen is not receiving a VGA signal. Is there any way I can get rid of this green line.

Sounds like a tab bond issue. There is no proper fix without access to expensive equipment, but people on here have had varying degrees of success using various materials to apply pressure to the tab to keep it in contact with the screen.

I believe thermal pads the kind used as heatsink material on laptops is used. That's what I've seen metioned in the threads on here. Folded over to apply pressure between the screen and the tab and the frame.

Doesn't look like your description. How about you post a pic of your screen ?

I did not know the difference between a LED TV and an LCD monitor until now when I saw the YouTube video on dismantling an LCD monitor.

So where am I supposed to attach the thermal pad inside an LCD monitor. The whole thing is like a window in which every thing is attached. The front black panel with a thin strip of circuit board behind which are very thin plastic sheet tubes and a fat transparent sheet of plastic with diamond print again attached to a thin white sheet of plastic. There are four light tubes attached horizontally inside this window with all this. Where is the thermal pad supposed to fit in this

Yes, that does look like a tab issue. it depends on the design as to whether you can do anything about it but i'm suspecting not.

If I purchase a three to four inch bigger LCD monitor with a little higher resolution will it put more load on the SMPSU.

Which PSU? The PSU in the monitor? No.. a monitor should come with a PSU that is correct for it. Or do you mean the Computer PSU? Because that has nothing to do with the resolution... your graphics card and the amount of memory it has is what determines how high the resolution is that you can run your monitor at.

                                Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

                                Hi

Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.

Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.

The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.

I have already tried replacing all of the...

                                Hello,

on my AQUOS LC-70LE740E LCD TV there is a vertical green line on the screen. (pictures below)

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Up close it looks something like this.

                                Can this fault be serviced?

What I want to do is the following:

gently pressing on the ribbon connections along the top and bottom of the panel in the area of that line. Pushing a driver IC onto the flex cable it sits on to restore the lost connection. When the problematic area is found installing...

                                by TrueSword88
                                Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.
