    Dell U2410f problem

Hi everyone. Just purchased a used Dell 2410f monitor. It was cheap and now I know why. First time I plugged it in it worked fine for a few minutes then desktop disappeared and would only display a blank coloured screen. Can unplug and plug it back in but comes up with a coloured blank screen again ( colour can change from one unplug to the next.) Have read the '2 seconds to black" post but my screen never goes black, just to a colour. Shone a light at the screen but can see no desktop through the colour. The screen menus all work and show up fine on the screen.
Have noticed if I leave the screen over night and plug it in, I get the desktop picture for about 30 seconds then will disappear to a coloured screen again so think it is also temperature related. Any ideas what could cause this? Could it be the power board caps causing the problem? Thanks

    Re: Dell U2410f problem

    Was it purchased as faulty?
Does another screen work ok on the PC.
Does the PC need drivers for the screen?
    Try adjusting the resolution.
How is it connected HDMI VGA or what and can you try something else.

    Good clear pictures might help
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

      Re: Dell U2410f problem

      Hi Selldoor
No. it was purchased as a working unit of the Net
Have tried the monitor on three different PCs with the same result. All PCs I tried had working monitors.
Have downloaded the Dell driver but made no difference
Have tried all VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. No change.
Have played with the menus but makes no difference
I have not taken this unit apart. I was interested to know, with all the discussions on various websites and repair kits that are available regards to capacitor failure, whether the problem I have may have something to do with a faulty power board? I understand it is probably more complicated than this but thought someone here may have had a similar problem crop up with their monitor in the past. Thanks

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)

        Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

        LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
        by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

        Then each time...

        Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
        by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

        As additional information,...
