      Okay.
Don't buy those $10 PSU "specials". They fail, and they have taken whole computers with them.

My computer doubles as a space heater.

      Permanently Retired Systems:
RIP Advantech UNO-3072LA (2008-2021) - Decommissioned and taken out of service permanently due to lack of software support for it. Not very likely to ever be recommissioned again.
Asus Q550LF (Old main laptop, 2014-2022) - Decommissioned and stripped due to a myriad of problems, the main battery bloating being the final nail in the coffin.

      Kooky and Kool Systems
      - 1996 Power Macintosh 7200/120 + PC Compatibility Card - Under Restoration
      - 1993 Gateway 2000 80486DX/50 - Fully Operational/WIP
      - 2004 Athlon 64 Retro Gaming System - Indefinitely Parked
      - Main Workstation - Fully operational!

        Hmm--

As I said before, Ive been repairing all this crap when sets still had Valves (Tubes) in and LOTS of High Voltages--Everywhere on Live chassis, with Lots of Hot glowing bottles, waiting to burn ya!

--Proper Electronics, not like this silicon low-voltage solid-state, ipod and plastic crap we got now.

NEVER Ever did I wear Rubber Gloves while doing so! IF Any junior tech or apprentice had even Hinted at using Rubber-gloves to work on summit--They would have been shoved out the back-yard in the rain for an hour!

--Getting shocked--was all part of the learning in those days Heck--We used to leave charged caps around on the bench for 'em to pick up--They only ever got shocked once, never picked up a cap in such a way to get shocked ever again!

Before Ultrasonics--How Else would you determine if a cow was pregnant quickly, Other than shoving yer hand up its ass--Have you Never seen 'All creatures great and small' about a 1950's Yorkshire veterinary....?? (Guess not--You're young--and American!)
They were always shoving their hand up some poor cows ass in that!!
        TELEFIX

How PLASMA SCREENS WORK, X-SUS and Y-SUS what they do--
