I agree, check for bad wiring or signs of arcing, if the monitor was left on while you were away, it could possibly cause a fire!

This is the invertor that was in this monitor.

As you can see the second transformer from the right is discolored.
Does anyone know what the resistance measurements are on these?
This board is what was causing the monitor and front panel LEDs to blink.

Since you have two boards, you can try swapping the transformer.

The other board, which is in this monitor right now, is a 2 x 4 pin. So now sure if the resistance reading would be the same or not.

OK back to this one. Trying to figure out how to get to the lamps. No signs of arcing on the outside that I can see. What do I take apart noe to get to the lamps>

Well, couldn't see any signs of arcing after taking it apart as far as I could figure out, so put it all back together and got the other panel and plugged it in and it does the same thing! Must be something on the inverter board, so looking at it again real close.

Well, thought I found the problem.

But still doing it and it does it on both panels!
Any suggestions as where to go next?
This is pin 1 of T101. It flickers from 1 to 5 min, depending how long it has be off, then it looks great.
I see no arcing anywhere around the tubes or wiring going to them. The fact that it does it on both panels
suggests it is on the inverter board, but cant see anything.

Just clean off the flux and re-solder.
But you also have two power supply/inveter boards, so both of them doing the same thing?

This original one was not flickering?

And how about the suspected bad inverter transformer? You have TWO units that you can swap parts.
BTW, so you did not remove the lamps to get to see the condition of the lamp and the connection at the end of the lamp?

The other board is the one that flashes the power and input button on and off and both panels do the same thing. cleaned the flux off and re-soldered that connection. turned it on last night in the dark and could see nothing arcing anywhere. Maybe a cap breaking down internal, dont know.

Going to take the board to work and check the caps to see if i cab determine if they are breaking down.

OK, cleaned the flux un-soldered and re-soldered that connection, look good now. Measured the caps, I have set of 3 in parallel and a set of 2 in parallel. All of them are 820uf 25 v. The first set reads 860uf in circuit, out of circuit they each read 531uf. A total of 1590uf, SB 2460uf.
The second set reads 1410 in circuit and 700 out of circuit. The big cap reads 131uf in circuit. Cap value is 150uf. Did not take that one out. This board is made by Samsung Model IP-82125A. Does anyone have the board print of this?

I seen that one but still don't know who makes the caps for the replacement. The 14 caps on the other board I have is only 10.53 from Digi-key and those are Panasonic FM. A cheap but good fix!

Did a search on the board number, and it looks like it was made for Dell only.
