Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
Did a search on the board number, and it looks like it was made for Dell only.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
I seen that one but still don't know who makes the caps for the replacement. The 14 caps on the other board I have is only 10.53 from Digi-key and those are Panasonic FM. A cheap but good fix!...

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
OK, cleaned the flux un-soldered and re-soldered that connection, look good now. Measured the caps, I have set of 3 in parallel and a set of 2 in parallel. All of them are 820uf 25 v. The first set reads 860uf in circuit, out of circuit they each read 531uf. A total of 1590uf, SB 2460uf.
The second set reads 1410 in circuit and 700 out of circuit. The big cap reads 131uf in circuit. Cap value is 150uf. Did not take that one out. This board is made by Samsung Model IP-82125A. Does anyone have the board print of this?

Going to take the board to work and check the caps to see if i cab determine if they are breaking down.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
The other board is the one that flashes the power and input button on and off and both panels do the same thing. cleaned the flux off and re-soldered that connection. turned it on last night in the dark and could see nothing arcing anywhere. Maybe a cap breaking down internal, dont know.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
Well, thought I found the problem.
But still doing it and it does it on both panels!
Any suggestions as where to go next?
This is pin 1 of T101. It flickers from 1 to 5 min, depending how long it has be off, then it looks great.
I see no arcing anywhere around the tubes or wiring going to them. The fact that it does it on both panels
suggests it is on the inverter board, but cant see anything.Last edited by Nightwolf; 05-17-2015, 09:48 PM.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
Well, couldn't see any signs of arcing after taking it apart as far as I could figure out, so put it all back together and got the other panel and plugged it in and it does the same thing! Must be something on the inverter board, so looking at it again real close.

Re: Your Best Dumpster Finds
Well, I just retrieved a Dell 2407WFPb monitor. Plugged it in turned it on and nothing. Started reading all the posts here about them and the problems everyone was having. I got curious and decided to open it up. Looked at everything did some resistance checks and couldn't find anything bad. Took the push button board off the bezel and what did I find? The button that turns the power on was broken off! Plugged it back in and turned it on and it works! Now sitting where my flickering 2005 was sitting! Works great. I can't believe it!

Dell 1907FPf monitor
I have lots of monitors! LOL
This one is a Dell 1907FPf. I have prints on the 1907FPc but cant find them for this one.
The problem is when I turn it on, the power LED blinks on and off, no screen that I can see. It looks like I have some caps bad, 3 of them but will replace all 4, 470uf 35v, on the power board, but not sure if that is all that is wrong with it. The fuse is good. Just got it apart to take pics, have not checked any voltages yet. Any other suggestions and anyone have prints on this model?...Last edited by Nightwolf; 05-14-2015, 10:42 AM.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
The other board, which is in this monitor right now, is a 2 x 4 pin. So now sure if the resistance reading would be the same or not.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
This is the invertor that was in this monitor.
As you can see the second transformer from the right is discolored.
Does anyone know what the resistance measurements are on these?
This board is what was causing the monitor and front panel LEDs to blink.

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
This is the one that had the lines through it. I put the other main board in it. Your second link is the one that was in the other display, both displays have 6 lamps, transformers has 6 leads on one side and 2 for the output side. This one, the transformers have 4 leads on one side 2 on the output side. I'm thinking I tried both screen and the other one flickers then goes out. Hope you followed all that. LOL

Those are inside the display panel correct?

Re: Another Dell 2005 FPW
I don't smell anything and it flickers about 1 to 2 min then screen is great! It sounds like it's coming from the lower left hand corner of the screen.

Have to take it apart again to do it.

Re: Dell 2005 FPW 2 and power flashing
Took the main board out of this monitor and put it in the other 2005 monitor and it was better but flickering. I believe a have a couple bad transformers on the inverter board but can't find prints on the board or info on the transformers. Anyone?
