Lately I've been doing a lot of work with LCD's, and have needed to get various types of cables, inverters, and control boards depending on what type of panel I'm working with. But I've been a little confused about the cables and connectors.
When looking at LVDS cables on Ebay or other sources, they are often numbered something like "FIX-30P-S8" or FI-X30-D6".
I know that the FI-X is a JAE connector series, and I assumed that S8 would mean single channel 8 bit, D6 would be dual channel 6 bit, etc., but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any idea where the numbering scheme comes from?
Other examples are DF14, DF19, etc., but I'm mainly interested in the 30 pin connectors used on most 19"-42" panels.
