Hi everyone, new member here
Before I start I just want to say I have learned so many things just hunting around this forum
Thank You.
OK,
I have a Viewsonic VX2235WM that I bought new at costco about four years ago.
It has the DAC-19M009 "Inverter Board" or power board..... I don't know actually what to call it.
It had the typical 2 seconds to black that everyone talks about.
So, I cracked her open and found the same thing I read all over net......
BADCAPS!.... All CapXcon or Crapcon as you guys like to say. LOL
So I ordered a kit..... from Canada? lol,
Anyway, it showed up last friday Rubycon, Nichicon and Sanyo caps
I replaced all the caps and put it back together, hooked it up to one of my machines...... and Bingo!
It fired up just like new, for about ten seconds
Then it went night night...........
I scoured the net trying to figure out what was wrong, I honestly think after looking all over this forum the problem has to be the "Inverter IC Chips"... I have a crappy sears analog meter but I used it to check the Ohms that a member named Bill told someone else to check.
That made me think they were bad, but I can't find any new ones.....
One is P605 BZ6G1T, the other is P605 BZ6031
I'm sorta new to this "Electronic Wrenching" forgive me if I sound stupid,
R. Ashton
