Samsung SyncMaster 2333 Display Problem

Got a Samsung SyncMaster 2333, in powers up and runs fine, however there is problem with the display. As they say a photo is worth a thousand words. I have not opened it up due the fact it turns on.

The defect dose not affect the check signal box, it will travel around behind the defect and still be visible .

Thanks that what I was worried about, I will part it out, for the boards and scrap the rest!

Damn! It's late now but.. It's not the panel in the screen part but the Tcon that is exchangeable..

This is a 23" so it may not even have a separate tcon ???
Most tcons didn't show up till the 24s were introduced
