Re: Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
Hello,
I test L2 and L3. All are 3 ohms.
I test D4 and D12. It's ok for the 4.
D108 is à high voltage power rectifier. It's impossible to verify without unsolder.
That you think, it is necessary to verify ?
It could not be a bad transformer or CCFL ?
Good evening

Re: Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
Good photos, but difficult to tell.On the board that has the transistors missing D108 looks like that has been getting hot compared to the one on the other board. Also I would compare on each board L2,L3,D4 and D12,make sure the each measure the same and the solder on the L2 and L3 is good.Leave a comment:

That is excellent, same on the bottom will be very good.Leave a comment:

Unfortunately, they need to be taken directly from above, and with a wider view.Leave a comment:

Re: Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
Hello Rtech,
I make some close up photos.
It's difficult to do not be fuzzy
First the board one. I have 4 screens wiesonic VE710b and I openned 2.
One to take parts and repair the other.
I do not know if it will be sufficient to make you an opinion ?
Thanak's for you answer.

Re: Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
Well, how about some good close up photos of the bottom of the board. And bieleve me,dry joints on transformers associated with these transistors to cause them to fail, and you cannot really measure the transformers, without the proper test equipment, except for comparing the secondary resistance if the inverter transformers.Leave a comment:

Re: Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
Hello and thank you for your answer.
I have difficulty in believing that the problem results simply from a defect of dry joints.
Why? (I try to explain) :
The defaut is the same on two boards (who comes from two different screens) and at the same place.
I try to mesure connections directely on the transformer (the pins which are on transformers) with differents liaisons on the board. It's ok.
I already burned out two transistors by making a first try. I would like to be on before redoing a try.
I have somme questions :
Can I make a try without connecting the bad part ?
How to measure transformers ?
How to measure tubes if that it's possible?
Thank's for you answer.
Have a nice day.

Re: Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
These usually fail on BenQ type Boards, due to Dry joints on the inverter tranformer associated with the pair that keep failing..suggest you resolder the transformer before replacing them again.Leave a comment:

Wiewsonic VE710b black screen Flashing
Hello,
I am a french guy thus not very comfortable with the language.
I have four screens wiewsonic VE710b with the same trouble.
Black screen and flashing. Flashes are regular and constant when I start
I have open. No bad caps.
But two transitors are bads (short circuit) : C5706 (see the attachement).
I replace the both and the cap associate in unsoldering on another screen
The screen is ok for 30 seconds. I see the logo "no cable" but after black screen and flashing. The same trouble.
The two transitors are again bads.
If you have an idea to solution my trouble, do not hesitate.
Good weekend.

Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... -
by dbuergiHi all,
i got a A1466 with serious water damage. I was able to clean the whole board and only found a fuse with a coroded trace. Cleaning and resoldering did the job and the macbook started normal but after some time the screen began "flashing" like turning on and off while the Macbook was still running. I checked the board again but was not able to find the problem until now.
Any ideas where to look?... -
by ChrissygizmoHello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... - Loading...
